This place is absolutely incredible. Best hands down ice cream place that I have ever been to. The service is good. It is at the base of hanging rock state park, a perfect place to stop and enjoy a delicious ice cream scoop on the warm cones.. mmm. My all time favorite combo here is the mint chocolate ice cream in a chocolate cone.

Delicious and many flavors. Staff is nice. Worth the drive to Danbury and right now you can start seeing the leaves changing.

The homemade ice cream is the best you'll find anywhere and the made to order waffle cones in a variety of flavors are a must. At the base of Hanging Rock state park it is a perfect cool down after a hike or a stop along the many twisty roads in the region. Don't pass this gem by and don't be afraid of a long line, the wait is worth it.

We visited this place for the first time after a hike on hanging rock around 3 on a weekday and they were not too busy. There isn't a lot of parking on the pavement but they do also have grass to park on. It's definitely the best waffle cone I've ever had! The ice cream is also amazing. They have such a great selection of ice creams, shakes and smoothies. The lady who served us was also very polite. Came here again Sunday July 9th at 4:40 and yes they are busy! But we got our ice cream very quickly! Another thing to mention is the smell as soon as you get up to the porch, it smells like heaven!!! The vanilla ice cream is probably the best I've ever had and their cones are still amazing!

Hours actually say 12-6PM This place is a little gem right outside of Hanging Rock State Park. The ice cream is great, they have flavored waffle cones made to order, and the staff is super nice! 10/10 would recommend Follow the signs for homemade ice cream!

Located at the base of Hanging Rock State Park, their location is perfect for hikers who want to treat themselves to a sweet, delicious dessert after finishing the long hike. Even if you're not going to Hanging Rock, this ice cream shop is 100% worth checking out! Their homemade flavors are EXTREMELY RICH and have the PERFECT amount of creaminess. I ordered the Pumpkin Pie ice cream with a Red Velvet waffle cone. I was honestly SHOCKED at the INCREDIBLE DEPTH of the pumpkin pie flavor and was surprised that the waffle cone ACTUALLY TASTED like red velvet! If you love ice cream, Front Porch Creamery needs to be at the TOP of your list!

Very cute ice cream spot at the base of Hanging Rock Park! You park directly in front of the store which is pretty small and limited. Nice to see that they hand make all of their ice cream and waffle cones. They had a great variety of ice cream flavors, waffle cone flavors, and their prices are very affordable. My partner and I both got a single scoop and felt like it was equivalent to double/triple scoops given at ice cream chains. We could have definitely shaved 1 single scoop together. Service was very pleasant an friendly. We got their seasonal pumpkin pie ice cream in a red velvet waffle cone (overall 8/10). The ice cream had great pumpkin pie spice flavor and was VERY creamy. The red velvet flavor of the waffle cone wasn't very strong but was made fresh and very crispy. I got their mint chocolate chip in a chocolate waffle cone (7/10), not my favorite since the chocolate chips were like very large cookie-chocolate chips but the ice cream was still creamy and minty. Would come back again! Last time I was there, it seems like they had pretty limited hours of 12pm-4pm most days of the week and 1pm-6pm one weekend day. Wish I took a picture but glad we caught them before they closed for the day.

This is a nice little place on the way to hanging rock state park, just around the corner right before you turn from state highway 89. You can't miss the homemade ice cream sign. It might be a few miles out from hanging rock state park gate. We stopped here on our way back home from the the state park. The kids loved the vanilla and chocolate ice cream (1 scoop here was bigger than cold stone 2 scoops!), and the coffee ice cream was out of this world. Tried their banana raspberry smoothie with almond milk and it was refreshing, after a long hike. The owner was very pleasant and friendly, and even came out to give a treat to our furry family member. Do stop by and support this local business! I couldn't find them on Yelp, so added their business as a customer on the site!
